Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup apple cider
- 2 cups peeled and chopped apples
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and well-combined in another bowl.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing well until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the apple cider, allowing for a smooth batter to form.
- Fold in the chopped apples gently to evenly distribute throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before inverting it onto a serving plate.
- Mix the powdered sugar with apple cider until smooth for the glaze, then drizzle it over the cooled cake.
