Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl, mixing well.
  3. Form the mixture into patties and set aside.
  4. Sauté the mushrooms in a skillet until tender, then remove and set aside.
  5. Brown the patties on both sides in the same skillet for added flavor.
  6. Layer the cooked patties in a baking dish and top with the sautéed mushrooms.
  7. Combine the beef broth and milk in a separate bowl and pour this mixture over the layered dish.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes, until the meat is cooked through.
