- 3 tbsp heavy cream

- 2 cups sliced almonds, lightly toasted
- Fresh strawberries
- Fresh blueberries
- Fresh raspberries
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Optional edible gold leaves or mint leaves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Beat butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in almond and vanilla extracts.
- Alternate adding the dry ingredients with milk and sour cream until the batter becomes smooth and creamy.
- Divide the batter evenly between pans and bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake layers to cool completely before frosting.
- Beat butter for the frosting until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, almond extract, and vanilla until silky smooth.
- Frost the cake evenly around the sides and top with a smooth layer of frosting.
- Press toasted sliced almonds all around the sides of the cake for a crunchy finish.
- Decorate with fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and a light dusting of powdered sugar.
- Chill slightly before serving for the freshest flavor.
